Discoveries

When we got up this morning, there was an email from Jeff saying that he would have to stay in Philadelphia for a few more days – he’d been having a sore throat so he tested himself and was positive. He’s feeling OK, and I’m sure he brought his laptop so he’ll be able to work between tomorrow and when he is clear to travel, but he’s still bummed.

I started culling the photos from our first Alaska trip back in 2010; it’s going to take a while. We’ll be back there soon, and I discovered I’d happened to take a photo of the ship we’ll be sailing on this time (Celebrity Millennium) way back then!

A day at rest

We had a quiet day today, starting with our usual trip to the Farmer’s Market for fresh corn and local salmon which were the stars of lunch.

I spent much of the afternoon working on a program to retroactively tag photos that I’ve put on the blog – it would have taken a lot less time if I’d done more cut-and-paste programming instead of retyping small sections of code. Misspelling “criteria” as “critiera” in one of two assignment statements took me an hour to figure out because there were no error messages – just wrong results.

Until tomorrow….
