Arrival at Serengeti Soujourn

We’ve just arrived at the Serengeti Soujourn Camp after a long day’s trip from Arusha, including a flight in a 12-passenger bush plane and a game drive on the way to the camp.

Most of my photos are still on my camera, but here are a few Diane and I took on our phones.

Morning at Arusha Coffee Lodge
Ready to fly
Approaching the Great Rift Valley
Two of the three guides, Solomon and David (our guide). The other guide is Joseph.
Just a few zebra – we saw hundreds on our way to the camp!
The road sign for our camp.
Our bedroom – we’re glamping!
A critical part of lunch!

Connectivity, electricity, and time are all in short supply here, so I’ll be posting very little for the rest of the trip.

Heavy Travel Day

We’re at Johannesburg International Airport waiting for our first flight of the day (to Nairobi), and I’m enjoying the best Internet speeds I’ve had in days (thanks to the Shongololo Lounge). I’m not sure I’ll have the energy or connectivity to post when we reach our destination for the night (Arusha, Tanzania) eleven hours from now, so here are bonus photos from Thursday evening at Makanyi.

Onward!
