Packing is such sweet sorrow

We packed today for our trip to Alaska. I hate packing, especially when the weather is unpredictable and it’ll be a week before we can do laundry.

Having to bring eMed test kits along didn’t help – they’re packaged in rather large boxes, and I want them in our carry-on luggage. At least we won’t have to bring most of them home!

I’ve got the meeting blues

I just got home from chairing the first meeting of the Shir Hadash Ritual Committee with our new Senior Rabbi, Nico Socolovsky. It was the first in-person (mostly) meeting of the committee since March, 2020, long before I joined the committee. We did have two members who couldn’t be there in person, so I had to run it as a hybrid meeting, which was also a first for me.

It was a productive meeting with lots of learning, but I’m exhausted!
