We ventured into deepest Texas in April, 2024, to see the total solar eclipse from Ox Ranch near Uvalde. The trip was organized by Rick Binzel of MIT and Fred Ackerman of Black Sheep Adventures and included visits to Virgin Galactic’s “Gateway to Space”, the McDonald Observatory, and Big Bend National Park, as well as more Wal-Marts than we usually see in a year!
