Sideways progress

Today was – well, I can’t quite call it unproductive, but I didn’t make progress on the things I had planned to do.

What I did was exercise, go to Costco, take a couple of walks, and watch last night’s Late Show and some of today’s House proceedings. What I didn’t do was anything having to do with photos or finances.

We went to the other side of Ross Creek on our afternoon walk – here’s what the backside of our fence looks like (more to the point, the photo shows how much the water would have to rise to get into our yard).

The rain is supposed to resume tomorrow – with luck, we’ll take a couple of walks before it gets ugly again.

Shabbat Shalom!

We get a break

The sky was cloudy but it wasn’t raining when I went to pick up the paper this morning, but by the time I went out for a walk after my Toastmasters meeting, the rain was back.

The rain stopped again in the early afternoon; I took advantage of it to go take another picture of the water in Ross Creek. It’s about as high as it was last night, but it seemed a lot less threatening in the daylight!

I’m continuing to work on my resolutions, especially “Watch More TV”. Tonight, we started watching Valley of the Boom – 20 minutes was enough to decide that we could reclaim the disk space we’d used to record the series.
